Back in 1995, the visionary Anita Nelson formed IN Food Marketing & Design (formerly Vavricka Juntti & Company). After earning a degree in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, surviving several “character building” jobs in the foodservice industry, as well as a few advertising positions where she learned the ropes, Anita stepped out to change food marketing for the better. Nearly 25 years later, her extensive knowledge of the food industry and ability to “connect the dots” helps her find the right solutions for her clients.
A true foodie, Anita’s first job was baking muffins from scratch at a family restaurant. On a typical Saturday she would churn out 600 blueberry muffins! Anita also worked front-of-house throughout college as a server in several restaurants and a country club - she’s been involved IN food since the very beginning!
She now manages a team of creatives in a beautiful North Loop Studio. Working with top food companies such as General Mills, Ruiz Foodservice, BakeMark, Burnett Dairy Cooperative and Pizzey Ingredients, they certainly have the chops IN full-service food marketing!
IN Food was recognized in 2019 and 2020 in the Mpls/St. Paul Business Journal’s “Fast 50” list, and hailed as one of the “Best Places to Work” in 2023. Beyond business, Anita's team is on a mission, dedicating 5% of their profits to support hunger-related causes in our community, and working with many mission-based organizations like Appetite for Change, Cookie Cart and Meals on Wheels.
