FAQ
Q: I LOVE TO COOK – CAN I BECOME A MEMBER OF WOMEN WHO REALLY COOK?
A: The answer depends on your role in the food and hospitality industry and your reasons for wanting to join. Women Who Really Cook is a professional networking organization for women in the food and hospitality industry in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota designed to help women reach their personal and professional goals. It is not a cooking club or a recipe exchange. Believe it or not, many of our members don't even cook!
Q: CAN I ATTEND A MEETING AS A GUEST TO SEE IF I LIKE THE ORGANIZATION?
A: Non-members can attend one meeting as a guest. To learn details about an upcoming meeting and to RSVP, please send an email to meetings@womenwhoreallycook.com.
Q: WHERE AND WHEN ARE MEETINGS HELD?
A: Women Who Really Cook members meet monthly except for the month of December. Most meetings are held at member venues or places of business and the day of the week and time of day vary and are set to accommodate our hosts. Locations have included restaurants and cafes, farmers' markets, vegetable farms, food manufacturing kitchens, coffee brewing plants and more.
Q: IS THERE A CHARGE FOR MEETINGS?
A: There is typically no charge for meetings unless the host offers alcoholic beverages for sale, which attendees may purchase if desired.
Q: WHAT DOES IT COST TO BECOME A MEMBER?
A: Membership dues are $45.00 per person annually, $25.00 for full-time students or retirees not gainfully employed. More information on cost can be found on the About page. Dues are individual; WWRC does not have corporate or group memberships.
Q: HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER?
A: Prospective members need to complete the membership form and pay their dues by credit/debit card.
