WWRC April Meeting: Cozy Bites + Community @ The Copper Hen

  • The Copper Hen 2515 Nicollet Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55404 United States (map)

Join Women Who Really Cook for our April meeting at The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen, a beloved Eat Street destination known for its rustic-chic charm, locally sourced comfort food, and signature “boozy” cupcakes.

Hosted by owner Marisa Brown, this gathering will bring us together in one of Minneapolis’ most warm and inviting restaurant spaces to connect, share stories, and celebrate the people and places that make our food community so special.

Marisa Brown is the owner of The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen, where she brings together her passion for hospitality, seasonal cooking, and locally sourced ingredients.

Raised on an apple orchard just outside Minneapolis, Marisa developed an early appreciation for agriculture and the connection between farmers and the food on our plates. She has worked in restaurants since the age of 18, with experience in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis, before purchasing The Copper Hen in 2022.

What to Expect at This Month’s Meeting:

✨ A conversation with Marisa Brown about her journey in hospitality and restaurant ownership
✨ A taste of The Copper Hen’s chef-selected bites, featuring seasonal, from-scratch offerings
✨ A chance to experience this cozy, rustic-chic Eat Street gem
✨ Networking with fellow WWRC members across the food, beverage, and agriculture industries
