Join Women Who Really Cook for a morning of fresh-baked pastries, coffee, and inspiring conversation with Anne Andrus - owner and founder of Honey & Rye and the event-ready space just down the block, Bakehouse.
Anne will share the story of how her love of baking and community helped her grow Honey & Rye from a one-shop neighborhood favorite into a thriving small business, with a team of passionate bakers and baristas, and a new phase of expansion. We’ll gather at Bakehouse - "your celebration HQ for classes, parties, and pop-ups" - to hear what it takes to grow from startup to second-stage, while staying rooted in passion and purpose.
Anne Andrus – Owner & Founder, Honey & Rye + Bakehouse
Born into a big entrepreneurial family in rural Minnesota, Anne’s journey from baking monkey bread with her mom to owning one of St. Louis Park’s favorite bakeries is anything but conventional. After earning degrees in Spanish and International Business from St. Kate’s, Anne moved to California, where a desk job quickly gave way to a new calling: pastries. She earned her baking certificate from the San Francisco Baking Institute and returned to Minnesota to open Honey & Rye in 2013.
Since then, Anne has navigated business ownership through life’s many twists and turns - including a wedding, a baby, and a cancer diagnosis and recovery - all while building a thriving, community-driven bakery and event space.
